“F FOR FRIENDSHIP”: R IS FOR ROCKET, FIRST EDITION, INSCRIBED BY RAY BRADBURY

BRADBURY, Ray. R is for Rocket. Garden City: Doubleday, (1962). Octavo, original blue paper-covered boards, original dust jacket.

First edition of this collection of 17 stories, inscribed by Bradbury, “For Joan & Eric—This ‘R’ Is for Rocket with ‘F’ for friendship from ‘B’ for Bradbury. Best always—Ray. Jan-1963.”

Includes two previously uncollected stories, “R Is for Rocket” and “Frost and Fire,” as well as including landmark stories “The Fog Horn,” “The Rocket Man,” “The Golden Apples of the Sun” and “Here There Be Tygers.” Bradbury considered “Frost and Fire” one of his favorite stories (see Barron II-155). Currey, 57. Clute & Nicholls, 153.

Book fine. One unobtrusive scratch to front panel of exceptionally bright, near-fine dust jacket. An about-fine copy.
